Entrant Statement
A first-person statement addressing the trainee’s circumstances at home, the purpose of the stay, and what takes them back.
What the statement has to do
The genuine temporary entrant consideration asks whether the applicant genuinely intends to stay temporarily, having regard to their circumstances, their immigration history, the conditions in their home country and any other relevant matter. It is a discretionary assessment, and discretionary assessments are won on specificity.
Generic statements are discounted because delegates read hundreds of them. What moves the assessment is detail that could only be true of this applicant - the employer holding the position, the dependants, the study loan, the family business, the professional registration that requires the training to be completed abroad.

The trainee’s home country, current location and visa status
Every Australian visa previously held, with subclasses and dates
Compliance history, and any refusal or cancellation anywhere
Employment history and the position waiting on return
Family, property, financial and community ties at home
Any family or relationships in Australia, disclosed rather than omitted
The training plan, so the statement agrees with it
Written in the first person
The statement is the applicant’s. It is written in their voice, from their answers, and signed by them. We do not write it as a submission from an agent, because that is not what the Department is reading.

Common questions
Can I order this without a training plan?
Yes. Attach the existing plan on the form so the statement does not contradict it.
Does the applicant have to write it themselves?
No, but it has to be true of them and signed by them. We draft from their answers; they review and sign.
What if there are family members in Australia?
Disclose them. Omitting an Australian-resident partner or sibling and having the delegate find it is far worse than addressing it and explaining why the applicant still intends to leave.
How long is it?
As long as the circumstances need - usually three to five pages. Length is not the point; specificity is.
How long does it take?
10 to 12 working days as standard, or 5 to 7 working days for 30% more and 1 to 2 working days for 50% more - chosen on the form. The clock starts from a complete intake.
