What Tasmania is assessing
Tasmanian nomination turns on commitment. The state is deciding whether the applicant genuinely intends to settle there, and it reads the statement against the rest of the application looking for the gap between what is claimed and what the evidence supports.
Statements are discounted when they could have been written by anyone. Naming the state and repeating its population figures is not research. What carries weight is the specific: the employer, the suburb, the school, the rental market the applicant has actually looked at, the professional registration they have checked, the reason this state rather than another.

Consistency
The statement has to agree with the forms, the CV, the skills assessment and the points claim. Contradiction between a statement and the documents behind it is a common and entirely avoidable reason for a nomination to be refused, and it is the first thing we check.

Which pathway applies?
