Translation
Services
Translation of supporting documents for a visa application, certified where the Department requires it.
When certification matters
Documents in a language other than English have to be accompanied by an English translation. For documents prepared in Australia, the Department requires translation by a NAATI accredited translator. For documents prepared outside Australia, the translator must be an approved translator in that country, with their full name, address, qualifications and accreditation on the translation.
Getting this wrong is a slow and avoidable problem: the application is lodged, the translation is not accepted, and a request for further information arrives weeks later.

Common questions
Which languages?
Tell us the language pair on the form and we confirm availability and price before you commit.
Is NAATI certification included?
Where it is required, yes, and it is priced accordingly. The form asks.
How are documents delivered?
As PDFs, with the translator’s details on each translation as the Department requires.
How long does it take?
It depends on volume and language. We quote with a delivery date within one business day.
Can you translate documents you did not receive in full?
No. Partial scans - missing stamps or reverse sides - are a common reason a translation is rejected.
